Warhammer Fantasy is based in the Old World - a fictional land battled-over by the proud men of The Empire and Bretonnia who battle all manner of creatures - the vile ratmen of the Skaven and the horrific undead minions of the Vampire Counts, while the proud High Elves are locked in a grudge war with the stout Dwarves, and their Forest-dwelling Wood Elf kinsfolk fight the squabbling Orcs and Goblins. 

This fantasy world is a wide and varied place, filled with unimaginable wonders ripe for discovery - but tread warily, for there are equally as unimaginable dark places waiting, haunted by foul creatures and powerful individuals with sinister intentions.
