Theoden son of Thengel, seventeenth King of Rohan, and last of the Second Line. He is depicted here with the warhorse and armour that he took into battlle at the siege of Gondor, and the battle of the Pelennor Field, which stood to make his name a legend among the free peoples of Middle Earth.
