The Men of Numenor arrived upon the shores of Eriador late in the Second Age. The coming of King Elendil and his people would change Middle-Earth forever. For the Men of Numenor founded the realms of Gondor and Arnor, the greatest kingdoms of Men in history. Their greatest feat, however, was the alliance that Elendil forged with Gil-Galad, the High King of the Elves. It was with this alliance that Sauron was struck down at the strongholds of Mordor in a bid to prevent the Dark Lord from Conquering Middle-Earth.
