Flames of War is a miniature wargame set in World War II. Players control armies of tanks, infantry, and artillery, battling for supremacy on the battlefield.

The .50 calibre machine-guns lacked the range required to hit high flying bombers and were superseded by the twin 20mm Oerlikon anti-aircraft gun.
