Centuries before the events of the End Times large scale battles were waged. Forces of good and evil collided as they battled for surpremacy: armoured knights on warhorses charged the frontlines against those weaving powerful sorceries.

The Old World is a tactical tabletop game where players use strategy and units of various armies in clashes on a large scale where precise movement and positioning can result in victory or defeat.

Men of the far east unified into the Celestial Empire of the Grand Cathay in the distant past, the people of Grand Cathay fight to protect their homeland from invading Northmen barbarians of the Chaos Wastes. Each warrior proficiently uses different weapons, while powerful mages bend magic to their whims to destroy opposing forces.

Making their mark on the Old World, the empire of Grand Cathay sends mighty armies against the forces of Chaos assembled in the far north of their empire. This supplement contains background lore of the mighty empire and its standing with other factions, rules for the Jade fleet Army of Infamy, Cathayan force led by Miao Ying, Empire Mercenaries and rules for magic items.
